Business Terms
Last updated November 1, 2026
These Business Terms apply when you use VeChat Business, or any VeChat feature made for companies: a business page, a store, orders and customer chat, posts as a page, a place on the map, a search listing, and ads. They are an agreement between Velovid Software, an Egyptian one person company (شركة شخص واحد) registered in the Egyptian Commercial Register ("Velovid", "we"), and the business you act for ("you"). They add to the VeChat Terms of Service, the Community Guidelines and the Ad Policy, which also apply. Where they conflict, these Business Terms apply to your business use.
1. Who can open a business
- You must be at least 18 and have the authority to commit the business to these terms. If you act for a company, the company is bound by them.
- A business is opened from a personal VeChat account. The person who opens it is the owner of the page.
- Give the real name of the business, and keep its details accurate. Do not open a page for a business you do not represent, and do not choose a Business ID that imitates another brand.
- You must be allowed by law to run your business and to sell what you sell in every place where you offer it, and you must hold any licence that is needed.
- You may not use VeChat Business if you, your business or its owners are subject to trade sanctions that apply to you or to us.
2. Your page and your team
- The owner can add other people to the page's team by their VeChat ID and give each a role: Admin, Media buyer, Editor or Support. Each role can do only what the app shows for it. Only the owner can delete the business.
- You are responsible for everything done on your page by anyone on its team, and for removing people who should no longer have access.
- Each team member signs in with their own VeChat account. Do not share one account between several people.
- A page has its own identity in the feed. When a team member posts, comments or replies as the page, it is the business that is speaking.
- A business can have more than one page. Each page has its own team and its own ad balance.
- A blue verification badge shows that we confirmed the page belongs to the business named. We can remove it if that stops being true or if the page breaks our rules.
3. What you may publish and sell
You are responsible for your products, prices, descriptions, photos, posts, ads, map pin and everything you say to customers. You must own or have permission to use every picture, video, name and text you publish. What you sell must be legal where you sell it and where your customer is. You may not list, promote or sell:
- anything illegal, stolen, counterfeit or infringing, or anything that needs a licence you do not hold;
- weapons, ammunition, explosives, and parts or instructions for making them;
- illegal drugs, prescription medicines, and drug paraphernalia;
- alcohol, tobacco and nicotine products, unless you are licensed to sell them where you sell them, and never to anyone under the legal age;
- pornography, sexual services, escort services, and links to adult websites or .onion addresses (these links are blocked automatically);
- gambling, betting and lotteries, unless you are licensed for them in each country where you offer them;
- financial products that promise guaranteed or unrealistic returns, unlicensed loans, and schemes that pay for recruiting others;
- medical devices, treatments or supplements with false or unproven health claims;
- live animals, protected wildlife and products made from it, human remains and body parts;
- hacked accounts, personal data, forged documents, spying tools and malware;
- anything recalled or unsafe, and anything that exploits or endangers children.
Descriptions and prices must be honest and complete. Do not use fake discounts, fake stock warnings, fake reviews, or a link that leads somewhere other than what you describe.
4. Selling to customers
VeChat is a place where customers find and talk to you. It is not the seller and it does not process payment for your goods. A customer who orders from you pays you directly, in cash on delivery or through your own website or a payment link you send. The sale is a contract between you and the customer only.
- You are responsible for accepting and fulfilling orders, delivery, returns, refunds, warranties, invoices, taxes and customer service, and for every duty that consumer law places on a seller in the countries where you sell, including giving customers the information and cancellation rights the law requires.
- Honour the prices and terms you show. Keep your stock, opening hours and delivery details up to date, and mark the store closed when you cannot take orders.
- Reply to customers within a reasonable time, and never ask a customer for a VeChat password or sign-in code.
- A payment link you send must lead to a real payment page that you control and that is secure.
- Customers can leave reviews. Do not offer anything in return for a review, do not write reviews of your own business or of competitors, and do not threaten customers over a review. You can report a review that breaks our Community Guidelines.
- We are not a party to any dispute between you and a customer, and we are not responsible for payments, chargebacks, lost parcels or losses arising from your sales. If we receive complaints, we may ask you for information and you agree to answer promptly.
5. Customer information
When a customer orders from you or messages you, you receive their name, delivery address, phone number, delivery point and messages. You receive this information as an independent business that decides for itself how to use it, and you are responsible for handling it according to the privacy laws that apply to you. You agree to:
- use it only to fulfil that order, answer that customer and meet your legal duties;
- not sell it, rent it or share it, except with a delivery company or payment company that needs it for that order;
- not add customers to marketing lists or contact them outside VeChat for marketing without their clear permission;
- keep it secure, limit it to the team members who need it, and delete it when you no longer need it;
- help a customer who asks to see, correct or delete the information you hold about them.
Do not collect information about VeChat users in any other way, and do not ask customers for information you do not need, such as identity documents or card numbers in chat.
6. Posts, the map and search
Posts you publish as a page are public and follow the same rules as everyone's posts. Your map pin must be at the real location of your business. A search listing must lead to a website you control. We may decide how and whether pages, pins and listings are displayed, and we do not promise any position, number of views or number of customers.
7. Ads
Ads must follow the Ad Policy. Every ad is reviewed by a person before it runs, and again when you change what people see. We may reject, pause or remove any ad at any time. Approving an ad is not confirmation that it is legal or accurate. That remains your responsibility. Ads are shown with a Sponsored label.
8. The ad balance
- Ads are paid for from a prepaid balance held by each page. You add money to it in the app through Google Play, in the amounts offered. Google handles the payment, adds any tax and sends the receipt. We do not see your card details.
- Money added is credited at its face value. Each time your ad is shown to a person, the price of that view is taken from the balance. The price of a view depends on the country the viewer is in, on whether the viewer already follows your page, and on the ad format. The app shows the current prices and an estimate before you start a campaign. An estimate is not a promise.
- You set a daily budget and can set a total budget and start and end dates. We will not charge a campaign more than the budgets you set, apart from small overruns that can occur when several views happen at the same moment.
- When the balance cannot cover a view, your ads stop being shown until you add money.
- We count views and taps with our own systems, and those counts are the basis for what you are charged. We take steps to avoid counting the same person repeatedly within a short time. If you believe you were charged in error, write to support@velovid.net within 60 days and we will investigate and credit anything charged wrongly.
- We may change prices. A change applies to views shown after the change, never to views already charged.
- The balance can be used only for ads on VeChat. It is not a bank account or a means of payment, earns no interest, cannot be transferred to another page or person, and cannot be withdrawn as cash.
- Money added to the balance is not refundable, and unused balance is never paid back, except where a law that cannot be set aside requires it or where Google refunds the purchase under its own policy.
- If you delete the business or the owner deletes their VeChat account, any unused balance is lost. The app tells you this before deletion.
- If a payment is reversed or charged back, we may deduct the amount from the balance, pause your ads and suspend the page until it is settled.
- Everyone on the page's team whose role includes ads can spend the balance and add to it.
9. Content licence
You keep ownership of what you publish. You give us a worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable licence to host, reproduce, adapt for display, publish and distribute your business name, logo, listings, posts and ads within VeChat and on our websites, in order to run and promote the service, for as long as they are on VeChat. You confirm that you have all the rights needed to give this licence, including from any people who appear in your content.
10. Enforcement
If you break these terms, the Ad Policy, the Community Guidelines or the law, or if we receive credible complaints of fraud or harm to customers, we may remove a listing, post, ad or map pin, limit or pause your ads, hide your store, remove your badge, or suspend or close the page. Where safety allows, we tell you what we did and why, and you can appeal by writing to support@velovid.net within six months. In serious cases, such as selling prohibited goods or defrauding customers, we may act without warning and may also close the personal accounts of the people responsible.
11. Our service to you
We provide VeChat Business "as is". We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or free of errors, or that it will bring you any number of views, customers or sales. Features, formats and prices may change. To the fullest extent the law allows, Velovid is not liable for lost profits, lost sales, lost data, loss of reputation or any indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you in connection with VeChat Business is limited to the greater of 100 US dollars and the amount you added to your ad balance in the 12 months before the claim arose.
12. Your responsibility to us
You agree to defend and compensate Velovid against any claim, fine, loss or cost, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your products or services, your content and ads, your dealings with customers, your use of customer information, or your breach of these terms or of the law.
13. Leaving
The owner can delete the business at any time. Deleting it removes the page, store, products, orders, customer chats, posts, ads, map pin and team. You remain responsible for orders already accepted and for your legal duties to keep business records, so save what you need first. We may end this agreement by giving you 30 days' notice, or immediately if you break it.
14. Law, disputes and changes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the courts of Cairo, Egypt have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, after the 60-day attempt to resolve it described in the Terms of Service. We may change these terms. We tell you in the app or by email at least 15 days before a significant change takes effect, and continuing to use VeChat Business after that date means you accept it. If you operate in the European Union and the law entitles business users to a longer notice period or to mediation, you have those rights.
